My Story

For over 30 years, I’ve been providing my expertise in the home building and real estate space.  I've worked at small local builders as well as large multi-faceted real estate developers with my last position as senior vice president at a Fortune 500 national luxury home builder.  In 2019, I began a new chapter in my career after personal circumstances that had a life-changing impact.

My parents were ill and I became their full-time caregiver.  My childhood home had to be sold but was in need of updates and repairs.  Fortunately, I had the personal knowledge to complete it professionally with the utmost focus on craftsmanship and design.  Amazed by the transformation, many reached out to me with inquiries.  They were or soon would be in a similar position - having to sell a family home with many years of memories but in need of some TLC.  Knowing today's buyers were looking for a modern move-in ready home, they didn't know where to begin.  I was able to bridge the gap and guide them through their real estate journey.

The concept of Maslina Homes and how I could help others in similar situations through my experience and expertise was the result. "Maslina" means olive tree in Croatian and this majestic tree was always admired by my father, who was my mentor.  It symbolizes peace, stability, and unity - I could think of no better way to honor his memory. Maslina Homes strives to make sure our homes provide peace through tranquility in design, stability through quality craftsmanship, and unity through an affinity for creating not just a house, but a home

It was bittersweet renovating the place I grew up, which was filled with so many wonderful memories. But the results provided a new family a place to make new memories of their own while also reinvigorating and bringing value to the neighborhood for the next generation to enjoy.
